  • Considering Multibrige. A Few Questions.

I’m looking at both the Black-Magic products and the AJA stuff. I’m leaning towards the Multibridge and had a few questions.

    1) Will the HDMI (with DVI adapter) on a Multibridge Pro drive a 30″ Cinema Display? Or do I have to go with the Extreme?
    2) When not using FCP can OSX use the screen as another desktop display.
    3) Are there any performace differances between the Decklink line and the Multibridge besides the connectors.

    Thanks for the help guys.

    Hi,

    1) No, the 30″ display requires a Dual Link DVI-D connection and you’ll need the Multibridge Extreme.

    2) Yes, the output resolution is still confined to standard TV / HD resolutions.

    3) The Multibridge Extreme has more bandwidth to push out 2K in real time. The Multibridges can also function as standalone converters.
