    hello there,

we would like to know if it is possible to connect two objects/meshes in a way that only there where the two objects meet a soft edge/transition occurs. with affecting the edges on other places.

like pulling a spoon out of honey. as an example a cube with a sphere half inside

hope to hear from you soon

    greetings ed en christiaan

It’s possible of course, but not automatic. You would have to model the transition.

Check your manual/ help for keywords like edge weighting in HyperNURBS, the bridge tool and edge beveling. Either one of those or any combination of them all can produce results that you are after. But like Adam said, it’s not going to be automatic, you have to model and know how those tools function.
