connecting lines in AE?
Posted by Gopal Reghunath on March 8, 2011 at 3:02 pmHey everyone,
I am trying to make a social networking connections tree in AE. So I came by this image in google.

My idea is pretty similar but the only difference is that i have random wiggling icons. I therefore want the endpoints of the connecting lines to always be attached to the icons wherever they go. How is this possible?Roland R. kahlenberg replied 15 years, 2 months ago 5 Members · 7 Replies -

March 8, 2011 at 3:15 pmThe Beam effect should work well here – lots have been discussed here at the COW. Do the age-old Search trick and you should get lots of options.

March 8, 2011 at 6:25 pmAnother method that might work for you is using an expression to set the end points of the Stroke Effect.

March 8, 2011 at 7:21 pmThat’s a gem of a find there Brian – another one of Filip’s awesome mind benders. It’s also got me thinking of using Write-on should one want a more organic-looking line.
Cheers
