Small Tree ThunderNet boxes with 10gig cards and then connect to Thunderbolt. Onboard iMac Ethernet port is very unreliable for editing. We’re also running the new Titanium series from Small Tree and geez, the dang thing is fast…..

June 4, 2013 at 11:48 amThe only item I’d add is to manage your metadata writing accordingly. If you are using a shared media folder on a “server” then you don’t want all the client machines writing metadata “next to originals”.
