I’ve just downloaded ConnectHD trial for capture tests with a JVC HD100 using HDlink….
It seems that the device (camera) is recognized and appears in the device list on HDlink but the controls to capture aren’t working (they are in “grey” state…) …. any sugestion would be greatly apreciated.

I test the capture from Vegas (external HDV option) and it works… altough I want to test the supposed to be better Cineform codec workflow….. what am I doing wrong ?

    Best regards

you might post the question for capture using connectHD on cineforms site ?
as connectHD3 is new and so is support for the JVC

i use connectHD 2 on my desktop computer but could not get it to capture on laptop ( XP SP1 ..needs XP SP2 to capture HDV ) ..

can you convert the file to cineform files using connectHD ?

I use it with Sony Z1 and A1U without problems. It should work but before you capture go into “Prefs” tab and select the storage areas and enter a filename for the captured files. The greyed area usually would be because they aren’t set.

If you have captured m2t with Vegas you should try converting. Again set preferences. The usual procedure is go to proper tab – capture, convert – make preference selections and go.

[EOR] “I test the capture from Vegas (external HDV option) and it works”

The “external” capture program in Vegas is DV. The “internal” capture program in Vegas is HDV.
