confusion about importing premier project
I’m new to after effects, and have noticed something that I can’t figure out. Once, when I imported a premier project file it created a new layer for each cut in the premier movie. Now when I try to import a premier project file it creates a single layer with all the cuts on one layer. Why is this?

Is it possible that you are looking at the premiere sequence composition nested into another comp? ALT+double-click on the layer in the timeline and see if it opens up into another composition with all the cuts.
