    Now Final Cut X has been released what I don’t get is , is this a replacement for the studio

    Where are apple going with this

    They have also stopped selling the Studio but X cant do half as much can it ?

    Can someone explain !

    In a nutshell, FCS is EOL. FCP X is a totally new editing app aimed at non broadcast work and is based on imovie. If you work in broadcast you need to stick with FCS3.

    It’s not based on iMovie. It has design cues from it, but the code is completely new.
