  • Confroming XML from Premiere CC 2014 — remaining gotcha’s?

    Hey All,
The XML export from Premiere CS and CC used to be quite buggy when conforming in Resolve 8,9,10.
Premiere’s failure of correctly encode “Scale to Frame Size” into its XML export comes to mind.
But many of the issues seem to have been worked out in the current versions of Premiere and Resolve.
What are the remaining unresolved (ha ha) issues that editors and colorists need to be cognizant of when going one-way (and/or round trip) from Premiere CC 2014.2 to Resolve 11.1.3 via XML?
    Thanks!
    John

Just finished a job like this. Some observations:

  • h.264 footage will be 1 to 8 frames off (maybe more) due to long GOP errors.
  • Flopped clips will not come in flopped.
  • Export an AAF from Resolve, as well as an XML. Sometimes it works better back in Premiere.
