Conforming XDCAM in FCP from an offline AVID EDL

Ya you think it would work because both Avid and FCP instantly read P2 or XDCam. So why should not an EDL be exportable and be re-linked? You could say it’s because of FCPs way poor media management skills, but both programs treat tapeless media different from batch importing graphics. Hopefully tapeless interchange is the wave of future…
