Hi. I’ve searched through most of the forum’s previous posts on audio conforming, but i haven’t come across one that speaks of the conforming process actually freezing the program.

That’s the problem i have. Premiere begins the conforming process, and i watch the little bar on the bottom fill up. But just before it finishes, the program freezes and never comes back. I’ve left it overnight.

I use a panasonic gs400 and i capture the footage using Windows Movie Maker.

I have pro 1.5. I’ve downloaded the trial version of pro 2.0 and it has the same problem, only now it’s generating peak files (or similar).

    Any fixes? thanks.

Did by any chance Windows movie maker convert those to a different format such as WMV ?

It sure sounds like a corrupted audio file.

I would recommend using either Premiere’s capture feature or try downloading Windv. It’s a cool free DV capture utility.

If you can’t capture them again, you maybe able to convert the file to an uncompressed format with another application.

There are a few free ones here: https://www.brothersoft.com/video_tools_freeware_download_1.html

    Good luck,
