    Good afternoon all,

I have imported a number of 1920 x 1080 clips from my Panasonic HDC-HS300 via the M100 Import AVCHD/ClipWrap dialog, selected Apple ProRes 422 as output format. All of that worked OK. I now have to use those clips in a 4:3 project. If I right-click a clip in the bin and use the Conform command, I get a clip with a proper black letterbox bar at the top but I get a black bar that rises half way up the image from the bottom.

Have any of you ever seen this or have any idea what might be going on?

Thanks for any help or insights you might be able to provide,

    Marc

    Hi Marc,

which software version are you using? There were some older versions that had problems conforming progressive source clips. Not sure if this is your problem, though.

If you are on 2.0 or up, can you use the realtime format mixing?

    Hi Floh,

OS X 106.7, Media 100 version 2.1, Aja Kona LHe, driver version 9.0.5

And could you detail a bit more what you mean by realtime format mixing?

    Thanks,

    MA

What happens if you drop your HD clips in a SD 4:3 timeline? They should downscale and play back in realtime (in lower quality). This should work for editing, and even rendering the (used) clips in the 4:3 timeline should work as expected.

    As always, many thanks Floh.
