    Hi,

I’m trying to do something that I’m sure is possible in Cinema 4D but I must be approaching the wrong way. I have an umbrella object that, through pose morph, I have opening in a tighter container. What I’d like is to have the umbrella conform to the container as it opens. I’ve tried using soft body dynamics with “on collision” checked, but that doesn’t seem to be doing anything at all. What’s the best way to accomplish this?

    Thanks!
    Sean

can’t combine soft body dynamics with pose morph, but you could use soft body to get the final shape you want, Cache the Dynamics, go the the frame where the shape is right and do a Current State to Object – then take the dynamics tag off the new object. Use that as a new pose morph target.
