I’m trying to conform a short film and I see that some clips come in where the image is one frame off compared to the timecode. On a test re-capture, the image does come in right. I don’t believe re-capturing will necessarily work, since I may or may not have this problem again. Of the clips that captured, most need to be slipped +1 frame but some clips are fine the way they are.

How I can tell that the image is coming in one frame off:
I have an offline cutting copy (NTSC DV) and I am just visually matching the frames. This is kind of annoying since I have to sit there and manually slip everything (and FCP is not very interactive at HD resolution).

    Is this normal with FCP???

2- Can I just let this slide??? Does video sync off by 1-frame bother people? (It doesn’t bother me, but I have no idea if other people are more sensitive than I am.)

    Details:
    Aja Kona card
    DVCPRO HD (tape)
    PowerPC G5
(Sorry, I will try to copy down model #s later.)
