    Hi,

I just did a commercial delivered from Avid (AAF) without reelnames. Guess because of ama-linking.

The grade is done and ok.

Then I got a shorter version of the same commercial and a new AAF (same export procedure as the last one).

This AAF will import as a new session, but the grades from the first session will not automaticly apply on the clips. Both AAFs is imported exactly the same way and point to the files in the media pool.

    Any idea?

I would guess that although editors think reel names are passe….

Us in the reel world (see what I did there) still use them for merging grades. I work for Nucoda but have seen this before from editors.

I would think that the Resolve would use Reel ID to link to grades as well. Might be wrong.

Copy Paste Copy Paste Copy Paste is my guess…..

I assume you’re having trouble with ColorTrace?

Have you tried the manual mode?
