    Hi everyone

I have this movie shot in Varicam and edited in DVCPROHD 720p60, so it is in 59,94 fps.
Now I need to make the transfer for film so I need it in 24 fps.
So, what is the best method to do this?

Talk to the post facility that will be doing the transfer. They’ll have more accurate info that we can provide.

Was the Varicam set to 24P or 60P? If it was 24P, then you should be able to redigitize it over HDSDI or Firewire at 24P. If your footage has duplicate frames in a pattern of repeating one frame twice and then the second frame three times, then the Varicam was set to 24P.

If it was shot at 60P (no duplicate frames) then you should talk with your post finishing how on what to do.
