conform 24@25 with compressor >sound right length but not in sync
Hi!!
So I´m trying to conform an apple pro res 24fps with 6 audio channels to an mpg2 with 25fps and a dolby digital 5.1 sound.
I´m using final cut and compressor.
In compressor I have the same 24@25 setting for the frame rate control, for the picture and the sound.
The picture looks ok but the sound goes from being in sync to driffting a couple of secunds at the end of the movie.
But the length of the video and the picture are the same.What the hell is this???

Compressor won’t handle the audio correctly with 24@25 as it doesn’t slow it down.
Is this mpeg2 for DVD?

Sound will be a pass through. A small drift sound more like the original might be 23.976. How much drift and is it ahead or behind at the end?

And sorry, I meant the audio won’t be sped up, not slowed down.
I’ve been reading too much fcpx negativity this evening and it has unfortunately hindered my capability to think clearly.

I managed to get it right by exporting each channels separatly, then stretch them in soundtrack pro then mount them in compressor and then export them….
And it didn´t work when I try to send all the trax to soundtrackpro from fcp.
Yeah its a work around not a workflow…
Really not impressed by the expensive final cut suite, I think apple should stick to build computer.
