In the footage the lines in the clothing appear to be rippling what was the cause of this please? and is it possible for it to be rectified?

    Thanks in advance

thanks for responding… Yes that’s it, so the problem is coming through the LCD – appears to be alright on the mac monitor which I just plugged back in –

    Moire’ Effect.

    Interlaced video makes it worse.

You could also try slightly softening the area with blur filter or anti-moire’ plug-in.

Raphael posted about this free Moire FIlter for FCP a while back:

it seems to be specifically for DSLR footage, but might be worth a shot

Use the standard twitter filter in FCP and set it to max. That should make make somewhat of a difference. You can also combine that with the Gaussian blur filter but set it to just a tiny amount to finish the job.
