confetti
Posted by Brian Mcgovern on December 12, 2005 at 2:36 pmDoes anybody know how to create confetti without the purchase of plug-ins (particle playground) or if it is that easy to use a plug-in, which one is the best out there for the price?
Thanks in advance

December 12, 2005 at 2:44 pmTry making a composition of a small square rolling in 3D space to make one piece of spinning confetti. Now, import that comp into a new comp, and create a new solid. Apply particle playground to the new solid, but specify the single confetti layer as your Layer Map in your Particle P. settings. Read up in the Help-Effects Help files for more info on how to randomize the confetti layer start so that they’re not all synchronized.

I realize this is not necessarily the answer to your question, but I wanted to share this with the crowd. Particular is probably the most fun I had with a plugin in a long time.

December 13, 2005 at 5:13 pmTahnks for the expression. I was reading the instructions and did a test. I had an error. My question is how do do apply a point control to a 3D layer? After I placed an expression to the position property, I had an error about how I applied the expression the what I thought had to be the Anchor Point layer. Do I apply it to an actual point in the time line and name the point somehow?
Need help Thnaks Brian
