Computor Specs for Vegas 8
Hi all, i would like to ensure that hardware is not my issue with the Vegas Battle.
Microsoft XP Pro with Service pack 2, 4gb Ram, GEForce 8800GT 512Mb DDR3 graphics card,Core2Duo E4600@2,4GHz
I am editing JVC 720P-25/50 via firewire on a HD 50 deck. As usual the local agent says the issues are my hardware and i must upgrade to Quadcore…………Help!!!!

Your hardware looks fine. I would try turning off scene detection during Vegas capture but it might be a bigger problem. I quick search reveals this thread on the Cow “Capture problems with BR-HD50 deck” about problems with FCP as well. It looks like this hardware doesn’t play nice with others. Good luck.
