  CompuServ.gif does not show up as a save option

  I have a Mac Santa Cruz/OS10.5.6/PS CS2
  I want to save a file as a transparency with only the text showing.
  When I go to the drop-down menu CompuServe.GIF is not available.
  When I save it as another format, PS, TIFF….Final Cut Pro will import it but the text disappears as soon as I move the Wire Frame…
