    Hi,

I’m creating a 3D CG background in Lightwave and I will be compositing a keyed out presenter on top of that CG background in AE.

I’m using HDV footage with the Cineform plug-in.

In AE, my comp size is 1440 x 1080 1.33 16:9 aspect ratio.

However, if I render out an image from Lightwave, and bring it into my comp, it looks squished.

    1440 x 1080 1.33 aspect ratio are my settings.

I tried making it 1920 x 1080 using 1.33 aspect ratio, and it looks fine.

Is this correct? It’s a bit confusing for a new guy in the HDV world.

    Thanks,

    Jim

You simply need to press the Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction button at the bottom of your comp window. It’s the one that looks like a rectangle with two arrows above it.
