Compressor wont start because of Shake/Qmaster!!!!
Hi!
I have a major issue here. When I installed Shake I had no clue that Qmaster could give me som major problems.
Now – what happens is my Compressor wont start! I tried to re-install it and also upgrade it but it still wont work.
What I have on my computer is
Compressor v.3.0.5
Shake v.4.1.1
Qmaster v.3.0.5
Macosx v.10.5.6Now – ofcourse I need compressor! Qmaster on the other hand I have no use of what I´m aware of.
Heard that a lot of people had this problem when installing Shake, but I have no answer to the problem and hopes that anyone of you guys can help me!

Do you have a backup of the hard drive before you installed anything? I once had an issue where a file called “Helium” which is located in the Library-Receipts foler was missing. Finding it on the backup drive and putting it back in there solved the problem.
Pretty esoteric but could be helpful…

This is a common problem and there’s a way to fix it. You have to go to a certain system folder using the Mac Terminal and delete some cache files. I don’t know the exact steps but they’re here on the Cow somewhere (try the Compressor board).
