export your movies, then shove them into compressor. more reliable anyway doing it that way because you can batch process.

    ;o)

Thanks, but the problem is that compressor won’t open period. Not even on its own.

Please give full information. What versions are you talking about? What OS? What QT? What computer?

    All the best,

    I have the same problem!

After reinstalling FCP – with a lot of trouble uninstalling it first…
    I can’t open compressor.
The dock makes a small movement when i press crompressor.app and thats it!
Ive been reinstalling over and over again but it just wont work… its driving me mad!
Anybody have an idea what to do??

I was able to fix it.

first i went here https://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/11582 and downloaded this software and i optimized the system.
then I tossed compressor app in the trash, along with fcp. then I re instaled the whole fcs. then i restarted, then I updated everything, then i restarted and it worked like a charm.
try it out. make sure though that u have qt installed before you do all of that.
