    Have you installed Shake lately? Or updated Q-Master? What version of FCP and Compressor are you running?

    This happened to me when I stuck with FCP 5.0.4, but installed Shake 4.1. It updated QT and QMaster and then Compressor wouldn’t work.

    I have 5.0.4 FCP and 2.0.1 compressor. I don’t have Shake. Hmm. I remember this happening before to me, I just crashed and lost and reinstalled my world and I can’t remember what I did before to fix it.

    Did you make any changes to your OS lately? I had the same problem after an archive and reinstall, tech supports said the pro apps don’t like this. Trash all your compressor receipts, delete the program, reinstall, run software updates for compressor. Receipts are .pkg files in the hard drive library receipts folder.

    That’s how my recent trouble with Compressor started.

    Even if it’s not the same issue this may give you some troubleshooting ideas.
