  • Compressor with Anamorphic footage for quicktime download on the internet?

I’m having a difficult time figuring out how to make my footage anamorphic for the web through compressor?
It’s VIPER footage and the native aspect ratio is 2:37:1. I’m cutting in final cut with no problem and able to see it on my monitor in the correct aspect ratio.
I’d like to put a few clips up online, but can’t seem to figure out the right box to click within the inspector of Compressor.
Please help me. I’m running out of time obi won!

Make a custom preset with that ratio. If you want your web file to be, say, 240 pixels high, set the width 2.37
times that, or 569 pixels wide. Save the new custom preset.

I tried that, but for some reason it wasn’t translating to the size. I must be doing something else wrong.

So what happens when you do that? Does it create a distorted file?
