Compressor Will Not Open
Posted by 11thfloor on November 14, 2007 at 8:26 pmI keep getting a message stating that Compressor keeps closing unexpectedly. It won’t open at all…even if I select the reset and reopen option. Has anyone run into this problem and if so what was the fix?
Thanks,

November 14, 2007 at 9:52 pmUnfortunately I dont have a solution but I am experiencing the same problem, it will not open at all. I have completely wiped Final Cut Studio 2 and re-installed and the same issue is present. Have you installed leopard recently?

November 16, 2007 at 8:48 pmThat did the trick….thanks! Basically, I had to reinstall it…not sure if it had anything to do with recently upgrading to Leopard or not. But that’s the only reason I can come up with.

December 4, 2007 at 10:21 pmI have had issues since installing Leopard. And yes I should have waited, researched, and waited some more. But alas, too late. I have uninstalled all old aps that are acting odd and reinstalled. Each time I fix one ap, another goes hinky. I will not upgrade again without someone else suffering the slings and arrows of wanting the latest and greatest Mac offers. Patience is a virtue. Tonight I will clean out old Compressor files and reinstall. Good luck to you.
