  compressor very slow

  I am exporting a 12 minute HDV video via Compressor, high quality 60 minute 16:9… the batch monitor says this will take 5 hours. Exporting the same show via Quicktime conversion to mpeg 2 takes about 20 minutes. Any ideas why compressor would be slow and how to fix it? I’ve trashed the FCP and Compessor prefs, but doesn’t seem to help.

  Compressor 2, FCP 5, Dual 2 GHZ G5, 2,5 GHZ DDR SDRAM
