whats the point of using compressor instead of just exporting using quicktime? i shoot on hdv and edit in prores and have to export to get onto a dvd which is always sd.

compressor seems to take a lot longer to export and i was just wondering if there are any image quality benefits compared with using quicktime conversion?

You can’t make MPEG-2 using QT export.

    All the best,

Eh? The DVD specification requires MPEG-2. That’s the format it uses. It’s got nothing to do with QuickTime.

    All the best,
