I cannot make DVD’s without this please help!!! The only changes I can think of that have happened since the last time this worked properly were:

installation of all recommended security updates
    upgrade to iTunes 7

Everything worked great a couple months ago!

Power Mac G4 Single 1.25 ghz Mac OS X (10.3.9) FCP 4.5 HD, QuickTime 6.5.2, DVD Studio Pro 3.0.2 (production suite, upgrade from FCP)

I can’t remember what software I updated but this same problem happened to me with compressor.
I just re-installed the compressor software and the problem was gone.
    hope this helps.

    Alex.

Actually, after completely trashing everything and reinstalling everything…it still didn’t work. Someone on the apple board told me to try compressor and look at this error log file that apparently records everything you do, to try and determine the exact cause of the problem. Well, a couple of days after I reinstalled everything, I tried this, but compressor worked!!! The only thing I’d done in between is restart computer a couple of times. This is great, but I’m totally dumbfounded.
