I am trying to send a sequence (Sony HDV 1080i) through compressor (2.0.1) from FCP (5.0.4) as an MPEG2 (120 min best widescreen) for use on a SD DVD. I’ve tried to send the same sequence several times, but every time it quits on me about half way through. I am desperate and running out of time

One idea to consider is that you could have a corrupt render file in your timeline, especially since you mention that Compressor is stoppng at the same spot every time. Try trashing your render files including any audio renders and let FCP re-render everything. Then export your finished timline for Compressor and try again. The most reliable way is to export a reference or self-contained movie and then use Compressor as a stand alone app.

Do you mean export as a QT then bring drag the QT into compressor?

Exactly. Or you can just go to Compressor’s file menu and use the import file command. The keyboard shortcut is: Command “I” without the quotes.
