I just started at a new company and am trying to get up to speed on XDCAM which is what we use to load our work onto our HD Harris server.

I work in the GFX department where we create all our renders from After Effects at 1920×1080, uncompressed or animation. the procedure that people currently use to get these renders ingested into the server is to take the rendered files into a final cut sequence (settings below), and then re-export the files to go to the server. I am trying to create a compressor setting that would allow us to bypass Final Cut but I have not found the correct setting – so after a week of trying, I decided I need some help!

Does anyone know how to configure a compressor setting to match these final cut sequence settings? Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated.

    Frame Size – 1440×1080

    Aspect Ratio – HD (1440×1080) (16:9)

Pixel Aspect Ratio – Square (ANAMORPHIC 16:9 Box is checked – THIS IS WHAT I CAN’T MATCH IN COMPRESSOR)

    Field Dominace – Upper

    Editing Timebase – 29.97

    Quicktime Video Settings
    Compressor – XDCAM HD 1080i60 (35 mb/s VBR)
    Quality – 100%
