I’m trying to submit a quicktime file for process in compressor and when ever i press submit a pop up window appears with name/cluster/priority. i don’t want to create a cluster but if i press cancel i cannot submit my process. does anyone know the reason behind this. many thanks.

No idea, but clean the “History Window” and try again.

I am just experiencing exactly the same issue. i have repaired permissions, deleted the compressor prefs, cleared the history panel yet still the submit button on the cluster popup menu remains greyed out?

i was in the middle of a 60 hour render when the compressor controller hung (activity monitor) and trying to either restart the queue or starting a new one comes up against this issue..
    stuck!

[tony french] “when ever i press submit a pop up window appears with name/cluster/priority”

That is normal. It lets you name the file, set a cluster and priority. If you cancel that you are cancelling the submit.

If you want to just name then ignore the cluster setting (which on my machine just defaults to my computer). I set priority to high because I want it to go as fast as it can.
