If some kind soul could help. I’ve recently upgraded from iDVD to DVDSP and I’ve been trying to export from FCP 4.5 via Compressor. The problem is that when I bring the MP2 files into DVDSP they are out of sync! Not by much but even a frame is a problem. As it stands, the problem seems to be about 5 or 6 frames out.

I’ve checked the preview in compressor and the preview is definitely out of sync. And I’ve scanned the compressor manual for sync problems without success.

Another problem, don’t know if it’s related but going back to my older workflow, when I export a reference movie from FCP, (by leaving the ‘self contained’ box unchecked, it seems to only output a movie at full resolution. ie it doesn’t seem to make a difference if I check the ‘self contained’ box or not). So my file sizes are enourmous.

I’m a newbie to Compressor and DVDSP. Is there something obvious I’m missing here?

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Regards Peter

Try exporting your audio only out of FCP, (use the exact same name as you did with your project file), Apack the audio.

Then bring it into DVDSP, should work fine.
