Compressor options for iDisk to PC
my client is having trouble viewing stuff at my iDisk with his PC. it seems part of the problem is just the general size of some of the video files. when comparing H.264 with MPEG-4 files, i’m seeing and especially hearing the difference – the sound on the H.264 files is much better than the Mpg4’s, even when at the same Kbps. the file size limit seems to be around 50Mb for PC viewing, and then he gets an “I/O error”. do any of you guys know a workaround for this apparent limit, or maybe it’s being limited by his firewall or email software?
i’ve told him ALL the videos play great on my Mac (it sounds like it could be the subject of another trendy commercial!), but that doesn’t seem to make him smile…
sorry, i realize this topic might be better used on some “iDisk forum”, but can’t seem to log in to the Apple one, and didn’t see one here on the COW, and hopefully some of this will be useful for others…
thanks for helping out a bonehead!
