When I use FCP7 to send a sequence to Compressor 3.5 to make MPEG2 program streams, the resulting file has a weird result. What were multiple layers in the Final Cut sequence, have not all compressed the same in Compressor. Some layers look fine, others are squished. For example, the background of our slate (DVCPROHD.mov) is fine, but the text from FCP is distrorted. Or once we had talent recorded in 720Pn on a HVX turned sideways to fill the frame and rotated 90 degrees, keyed in FCP, be so stretched out, she was out of frame. But the BG was fine. Only she was stretched in the final MPEG made in Compressor. Obviously, it must have something to do with Send To Compressor. The work around is to export as a DVCPRO HD .mov then convert that. But skipping the extra steps would be nice.
