Compressor MPEG2 video pixelating
Problem: Video when played on DVD player looks pixelated.
Background: Short 3 to 4 minutes clips. Edited in FCP (lastest version) as 720×480 DV Anamorphic.
What we’ve tried:
– Export as Quicktime .mov, self-contained, imported into DVDSP for compression and use.
– Export as Quicktime .mov, self-contained, opened in Compressor 2.0, exported as two-pass VBR, Best, Fits up to 120 minute w/ Dolby Digital Audio, default settings
– Export as Quicktime reference movie, opened in Compressor 2.o, exported as single pass VBR Better, Average Bit rate 6.8, Max Bit Rate 8.0, Motion: Best, Fits up to 90 minutes w/ Dolby Digital Audio
– Export as Quicktime self-contained, opened in Compressor 2.o, exported as single pass VBR Better, Average Bit rate 6.2, Max Bit Rate 870, Motion: Best, Fits up to 90 minutes w/ Dolby Digital Audio
Any ideas? The pixelating is most noticable on the faces.
