I have an HDV file (new to this) and am trying to make a dvd using Compressor. The output is defaulting at 720×480. I made a dupl setting of the 90 min encode but the geometry tab frame size is grayed out. How can i not amorpho my video in FCS 2. I figured this out in the last version but this one has me stumped. Is there something I should be doing back in final cut to avoid this problem in the future.

What exactly do you see as a problem?

720×480 is the proper pixel dimension for a DVD, and why worry about the anamorphic setting at all? Its now automatic in FCS2, as it should be, and your DVD will automatically display letterboxed on a 4×3 monitor and 16×9 on a widescreen monitor. Why would you want to change that???
