  • Compressor : FLV H264 + Metadatas ?

Posted by Paul Sellis on January 1, 2009 at 2:53 pm

    Hi,

I need to get a .FLV encoded in H264/AAC with Metadatas…

On my Mac with Compressor I can get a .MOV encoded in H264/AAC, but not a .FLV
(if I change the extension then, it seems to trick the FlasPlayers…)

But for Medatas : I didn’t find any way to manage that on my Mac…

    Your advises are welcome !
    😉

    What Metadata do you need?

I need the duration to be able to do HTTP pseudo-streaming.

Sorry, I don’t know of an easy to use Metadata injector for the Mac but you wouldn’t have an issue if you used something like FFMPEG or Episode to do your encoding.

You mean that with FFMPEG or Episode Metadatas are automaticaly injected in the FLV ?

Yes, I’m certain with Episode, 99% sure with ffmpeg
