  • Compressor Error: Invoking Method or Accessing Member for Null Reference

Posted by Karin Gustafson on April 9, 2010 at 3:17 pm

Compressor was working fine and then I upgraded to Snow Leopard and Final Cut 7

I’ve tried Send to Compressor, exporting a reference file and even exporting a fully contained file. I’ve tried from different sequences and lengths… I’ve reinstalled Compressor, I’ve gone through Apple’s Resolution steps… same error – AND nothing on the internet except one answer from 2008 that didn’t apply….

    Please help!

    thanks
    Karin

For some reason… the error log I pasted into the above question didn’t make it to the post:
so I’ll take out the parantheses

after more than 6 hours screwing with settings, deleting preferences, scouring the internet, learning about clusters that I don’t even use and trying every different setting in Compressor…

Finally – I deleted the custom destination and just put it back in – fixed.

    jeez

    Hello
I output a 23 minute show every week. I have already output this show to miniDV with no issues.

Now I’m trying to use share and or compressor to make a video of it show I can put it to Vimeo.

I keep getting a “quicktime error 50”. The computer is a mac pro 8 core 6 gig of ram. using the latest mac software version.

This happens using share and compressor.

I have trashed the final cut and compressor preferences, I fixed the permissions over and over.

I dumped the render files and re-rendered. It still won’t work.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Steve Marshall

I am also getting this -50 error. I have successfully outputted my project using compressor format for ipad for over 2 weeks but after editing a text slide in the project today I can no longer export with compressor.

If there is someone out there with a solution it would be great to hear from you!
