I’ve recently been getting error messages in Compressor whenever I submit a job. It tells me it cannot connect to the Background Process. I’ve tried reseting the background process, trashing the prefs and dug through the manual and nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

Yeah, do a search of this and the Compression forum. There are hundreds of posts about it.

First thing to try, disconnect ALL network connections.
Compressor thinks every machine or server is part of it render farm, even if it’s not capable of being a farm.

However, the advice to search is better. There are many different possible causes and just as many possible cures.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
