    Compressor Encode Fails

    I have a sequence in FCP6 that I send to compressor for encoding to m2v for DVDSP….each time (3 trys) Compressor says that the encode has failed.due to a Quicktime error. First time this has happened to me. What do I check first?

    Instead of send to compressor, make absolutely sure everything is rendered in the sequence then export as a Quicktime Movie using Sequence settings.

    I copied and pasted the edit to a new sequence and sent to Compressor.
    It just finished, and says successful. Is it technically better to do it the way you suggested?
