    Hallo,

    Hallo,

    Hey Jeremy,

thanks for your answer. I´m not yet sure what you meant but perhabs you could explain it to me in english. That´s no problem at all. Would be very kind of you.

    Thanks a lot

Sure, Tobias. The codec itself is named HDV 1080i50, even though you shot 25p. So, you have captured your footage correctly. In essence, your footage is really 1080 PsF 25 (or progressive segmented frame). That means it’s a progressive image wrapped in an interlaced stream. IN order to ensure that FCP is playing back and rendering your footage correctly, you need to go the browser and change the field order of all of your clips from Upper Field to None. You can do this by finding the ‘Field Dominance’ column in FCP, select all the clips, and then right click and choose ‘None’.

Then, in your sequence you also need to ensure that you have turned field rendering off by going in to your sequence settings (command-0) and turning the field dominance from upper to none.

    Hope that makes more sense.

If you’d like, you can recapture with the 1080p25 setting, but it’s not necessary.

Thanks I found all the setting. But it´s really strange. I thought I had captured it in 1080p. As a capture present I used “HDV”. Isn´t that correct ?

Well, there’s many different flavors of HDV. You can try the 1080p25 setting, but if for some reason that doesn’t work for you, you can use the 1080i50 settings and make the adjustments I mentioned earlier.
