    I’m running FCP studio 2 (6.06 with Compresser 3) on a 4 x 2.5 Ghz Power G5with OSX 10.5.7.

I am trying to compress a source file is 10 bit uncompressed Quicktime video file to h264 for web streaming.

The problem is I can’t get a clean progressive output file. I’ve tried everything from using de-interlace plug ins in FCP which works fine but in compressor the image gets blurred.

I tried dropping the raw 10bit file into compressor by passing FCP but still can’t de-interlace it.

I turn on the frame control set my settings to progressive and drop down to best motion and such…but still comes out crappy resolution with interlacing issues.

if anyone has a solution please advise. No I don’t want to get suggestions for buying plug ins or additional software, if thats your advice then please do not reply. I need a solution with out making purchases if there is one… thanks!
