You know, I re-read the post and perhaps they are transcoding dailies for editing. I guess only Misha can clarify.

Yes, we are in fact transcoding dailies. The project was shot in 23.98 and is being edited and delivered in 29.97. Like I said, it’s a dumb workflow that causes many problems for me as AE but I gotta work with it for now as we’re mid-episode…
