  Compressor 4.1 error Failed: 3x error: NewMovieFrmFile failed -43

  Hi All,

  Has anyone gotten this error when working in Compressor 4.1?
  “Failed: 3x error: NewMovieFrmFile failed -43”

  I output a “master file” (prores 422) from FCPX to disk. I then added it (imported) to Compressor 4.1 (from within Compressor) to make a DVD (standard–no HD or BluRay) and save the DVD files to disk. All went well.

  After I saw the DVD I wanted to make some changes to a few edits and some color grading. I did that and output another master file (prores 422). I just copied over the first one (used the same name and overwrote it). I then added (imported) the file to Compressor 4.1, just like the first time. In less than 10 seconds it stops encoding and displays the error message: “Failed: 3x error: NewMovieFrmFile failed -43”

  I tried looking for a list of error codes and what they might meet mean on Apple’s website with no luck. . I guess they are keeping the error codes a secret! Surprisingly, Google doesn’t have much on this either.

  Any help, guidance, info, or where to get the info appreciated!
