Hello all, this is my first post, but I’ve been reading for a while. There is some awesome information and tutorials on here that I love. Thank you. Here’s my problem that I hope someone may have an answer to, or can point me in the right direction. Or the right forum.

    PROBLEM:
In Compressor 4.0.2, I’m trying to use the “Job Action” tab to automate burning a DVD, AVCHD disc, upload to Vimeo/YouTube. (I know, I know…probably my first mistake…but it’s worked for me before.) Starting with Compressor 4.0.1, the Job Action tab doesn’t (read=will not) maintain my settings.

    EXAMPLE:
I export a QT Movie (full size) from FCPX and send to Compressor. I choose the “Create BluRay” option, which adds the little automator gear on the job. I go to the “Job Action” tab to give it a name, add a logo, background, etc. and hit submit…the process completes but doesn’t have the name change or the graphics I added.

Furthermore, if I click off of the job and then click back on it, the settings I made have disappeared.

If I don’t use the template, and I click on the Job Action tab and choose which job I would like to add, such as “Upload to Vimeo” or “Upload to Youtube”, it will not add that automated job or any automated job.

It’s very frustrating because this has worked in previous versions (so much for progress) and the functionality SHOULD be there. I just can’t figure out how to solve the problem.

I’ve tried reinstalling Compressor, following Apple’s guidelines on which files to trash. I’ve trashed preferences, repaired disk permissions, cleaned caches…I’m at a loss.

    So…help?

    Thank you in advance!
