    Erik,
In your first post you show Tiger as your OS, with Studio2
Then in subsequent posts, it’s Snow Leopard with Studio3.
AFAIK Studio2 does better on Leopard
Did you do a clean install or an overwrite from Tiger to Snow Leopard?

    Cheers
    Alexander

[Jeremy Garchow] “you have to make sure that you select your cluster after hitting submit but before hitting submit again”

I wish you could set it to default to the cluster.

I just looked for that option yesterday. I imagine that it’s not there as the clusters can get deleted and changed….my speculation anyway.

How can I reinstall Compressor? Do I have to reinstall the whole FCsuite3?

[Trig Simon] “Do I have to reinstall the whole FCsuite3?”

Kind of, You have to reinstall just the applications, not all the media. A reinstall of just the apps is very quick. Click the ‘Custom’ button.

You can also check COmpressor Repair from Digital Rebellion.

Hello, I have/had this issue as well.
If I hit cancel on a transcode, all it would do is hang and the time remaining would climb and climb, sometimes 15 hours our more.

There is no way (that I’ve found) to recover from this. I just click the problem transcode, highlight it and hit “delete”. I goes away instantly. Then you just try it all over again (from FC).

GO to the compressor menu and hit “reset background processing” and choose the option to cancel the jobs.

“Also, there’s a ‘reset background process’ function in the ‘Compressor’ menu that helps to clear things up.”

You da man Jeremy!! Worked perfectly (after 30 minutes of stuck-ness)

My word! That seems to work! Been about 3 & half years since your post & it’s helping me now. Thank you J!
