With Compressor 2 you could use the ‘export to compressor’ function out of final cut and line up several jobs in Compressor and send them to batch compress all at once.

With Compressor 3 I’m having a hard time finding the same kind of function. Export to compressor is the same, however it creates individual jobs automatically in Compressor, and you have to submit each job individually.

I know you can drag and exported .mov files, however I want to work straight from my sequence without exporting first. Has anyone found a workaround for this?

Not only is than an issue, but it will also tie up FCP while it encodes. No more editing once you’ve sent a job directly from FCP. For this reason, you are almost always better off sending a reference clip to the hard drive and putting that into compressor for encoding.

I know you said yo don’t want to, but sometimes there is a workflow that will actually do what we want, even when it is not what we want to do!
