    Hey All,

Question, I am using FCP’s Compressor for this SD anamorphic job that I just completed with the edit. The final end will be YouTube, I have exported (from FCP) a uncompressed 8bit file of the project and have been attempting compression in Compressor with out any luck at all.

When I bring the file into Compressor it keeps exporting it as 4×3 in stead of 16×9 anamorphic. I know that the original uncompressed 8bit file that is being used is in the correct format (853×480)…

    What am I doing wrong???
    Thanks for any help.

Actually, I’m willing to bet that the original file is 720×480 but being displayed at 853×480.

When you get your video into compressor, go to the geometry tab.
It should detect that the frame size is 720×480 and has a pixel aspect ratio of 1.2
IF NOT, from the drop down for Frame size, choose CUSTOM and change the pixel aspect to NTSC CCIR 601/DV 16:)

Try and and let’s find out if it worked!

    Best,
