I am trying to convert a quicktime movie (c. 15mgs)
into an AVI. The problem is that the AVI file is larger than
the original. The file size needs to be 2mgs or less. Any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.the chairman.

It sounds like you’re making an uncompressed AVI out of compressed footage. What are you using to make the AVI? Whatever it is, you’ll need to specify some kind of compressed codec for the AVI.
